Overview

Our client, a collection of modern apart hotels in Cape Town, is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You’ll be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring check-ins, check-outs, and interactions are smooth, welcoming, and memorable. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and have a genuine passion for hospitality. Shift work, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding guest service and ensure high satisfaction levels.

  • Welcome guests on arrival and manage efficient check-ins and check-outs.

  • Serve as the primary contact for all guest and client enquiries.

  • Respond to emails, messages, and phone calls promptly and professionally.

  • Manage bookings and process payments accurately.

  • Coordinate with concierge services and assist guests with requests or special experiences.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Guest Experience, Property Managers, and Operations.

  • Work closely with team members to resolve guest or operational challenges.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years’ experience in hospitality, reception, or customer-facing roles (advantageous but not essential with the right attitude).

  • Based in Cape Town and available for shift work, including evenings and weekends.

  • Strong empathy, emotional intelligence, and a guest-focused mindset.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Observant and attentive to guest needs and non-verbal cues.

  • Tech-savvy, organized, and detail-oriented.

  • Calm under pressure, solutions-driven, and proactive.

  • Passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences.

  • Strong team player who contributes positively to a service-driven culture.
