Applications are invited for a Lecturer position in the Department of Business Management, specializing in Transport and Logistics. The successful candidate will teach at undergraduate and graduate levels, engage in research, assist with student research projects, and contribute to departmental administration and community engagement initiatives. The Lecturer will report to the Head of Department: Business Management.
Deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical sessions in Transport, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
Utilize both in-person and online teaching methods, including platforms such as Moodle or Blackboard.
Assess student performance through a variety of assessment practices, including online evaluations.
Supervise research at Honours and Master’s levels to support student development.
Conduct research in Transport, Logistics, Maritime, or related fields.
Contribute to scholarly publications.
Support departmental research initiatives and help build research capacity.
Assist with departmental administrative responsibilities.
Participate in university service activities at departmental or institutional levels.
Engage in community projects and outreach initiatives.
Specialist knowledge in Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Maritime fields.
Understanding of teaching, learning, and research methodologies.
Familiarity with university policies, higher education administration, and academic structures.
Strong presentation, analytical, and report-writing skills.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to students and peers.
Ability to leverage technology for distance learning.

Master’s Degree in Transport, Logistics, or Maritime-related fields; an undergraduate qualification in Transport, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
Studying toward a PhD is an advantage.
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in relevant higher education subjects preferred.
Evidence of satisfactory teaching performance and research potential.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
